In reply to R.a.W | Ramble and Wander. It's pretty popular but not for the backpacking crowd as they tend to stay in Krabi. There is still a huge market that come here.

Believe me guys it was an amazing place to visit for any tourist. I will never forget my good memories with my wife in Koh Lanta. We took the service of one of the local ferry service provider – “Andaman Ferry Service” and visit all the destinations of Andaman.

Haven’t been to this part of Thailand yet because PH has really amazing beaches. But if ever I book a flight to Krabi, I’ll be sure to keep this in mind. the cave looks interesting! 🙂

Swimming with a whale shark is very high on my bucket list of things to do. The animals look so amazing. The island looks amazing and a great place to relax and still explore the outdoors.

I loved koh lamta because it felt quite peaceful and sleepy and you could just land off the boat rent a scooter and drive around – wish I had checked out the caves!

I really like doing active things even when a beach is near. I just get too antsy sitting on a beach for too many days. Next trip to Thailand, we plan to head south. The cave exploration and kayaking through the mangrove forest is exactly my style!

I’ve only been to Krabi and while I didn’t like Aonang, I enjoyed the island hopping trip there. Koh Lanta sounds like ideal for me. Wondering why it is not more popular with tourists though?
